Just a couple of more notes on the contest:
If you want to do it for a different game, ask me first. There may be some games I have that I didn't remember I could use... like NOLF, which I didn't list before.
Also, try to name your models uniquely. I'd like to be able to use more than one of them at once, instead of having 5 different models named simply "Ardam" which would overwrite each other.

On an unrelated note, any canadian game companies out there looking for summer applications, drop me a line.

I've been thinking.. I haven't had a good contest in a while.. so i've decided to go ahead with this:
THE ADVENTURERS! MODELLING CONTEST!
Submit a model of an ADVENTURERS! character for any of the following games:
Quake 2, Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, or Half-Life - or any mod that runs on those engines, and they will be judged fairly by a panel including me. THey will be judged on overall quality- including animations, faithfulness to character, exessive polygon usage is bad, but so is too little, etc. Generally, is it beleivable that it's THAT character wandering around the arena?
The 1st prize?- two free peices of ADVENTURERS! art, approximately 5 inches in size. I'll pay a dollar of the postage... and if it's the us or canada it wont be more than that at all. Anywhere else should be fairly cheap.
Depending on the number of entries I may pick a few runner ups with some other perks to winning those. Now, the models must be zipped, and if they are over 500k zipped, please put them up on some webspace or other (there should be any number of free places to put them) and just email me the link.
The cutoff date for entries is March 15th. That gives you just over two weeks to work on your models! Good luck!
